Island Horizon
Island Horizon is rooted in the memory of growing up by the sea—of always returning to the beach, where time felt slower and the world opened into something vast and steady.
The horizon became a constant presence in those early years. Not just a line in the distance, but a feeling of calm, of space, of quiet continuity. It was something I learned to look for, to trust—always there, even as everything else shifted.
In this piece, the island appears less as a defined place and more as a memory held over time. Its form is softened, almost instinctive, shaped by repetition rather than detail—like the way certain places stay with us not for how they looked, but for how they made us feel.
The layered color and textured surface reflect that accumulation of moments: days spent by the water, the rhythm of waves, the warmth of light, the sense of being both grounded and free. Some areas feel anchored, while others remain open, allowing the memory to breathe and shift.
Island Horizon is not about a specific beach, but about the imprint those places leave behind—the way they quietly shape our sense of self, becoming part of us long after we’ve left them. Please choose carefully, as all sales of original artwork are final and non-refundable.
